Dinnington main colliery Roll of honour
What a find!
In September 2016, Caren Turner, the Parish Administrator at St Leonard's, found the WW1 Roll of Honour for Dinnington Main Colliery, rolled up in the back of a cupboard in the church office. It consists of two large scrolls which list all the men who worked at the colliery and went on to serve in WW1. Officers were denoted in red, NCOs in blue and those who lost their lives were marked with a cross.
Thank you to Andy Milner who photographed them for us. Because of the size of the two documents, Andy also photographed them in sections (please refer to the captions).
