(4) The bugle player, second from the right on the back row, has been identified as George Henry Atkinson, by his granddaughter, Margaret Reynolds. She has kindly sent a photograph of him and the inscription to a bible that was presented to him by the Salvation Army bandmaster, when he was called up in 1914 to fight for his country( see below)
Below are Pte George Henry Atkinson's WW1 medals. The inscription on the .1914-15 is on the right; he was in the Notts and Derby Regiment and his regiment number was 15289.
